Maybe this is a thing of the past, but when I was growing up, we had grapefruit spoons. Regular shaped spoons with sharp ridges on the end. And recently I decided I’m going to start eating grapefruit on a regular basis, so I went shopping for grapefruit spoons. No luck though. Target and Wal Mart failed me. I’m thinking maybe William Sonoma is my best bet – or some other food specialty store.
Anyway, I went ahead and bought some grapefruits. I’ve been so intrigued by all the broiled grapefruit recipes circulating on Pinterest these days.
Whoa – these were crazy good! And so pretty. I mean, look how red and juicy!
After you cut it in half, sprinkle some sugar and cinnamon on top.
Then broil it in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until the edges get dark. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then sprinkle a little more sugar, add some vanilla Greek yogurt, then drizzle a little honey. Yum!
