Tuna salad is usually thought of as a relatively healthy food. It's fish! How bad could it be? But then it's mixed with mayo, slathered on bread with swiss cheese melted on top.
This tuna salad is mayo-less. Instead, I used hummus! Hummus is low in calorie and fat, and has a good amount of protein and fiber. And it's tasty!
Tuna is one of the highest dietary sources of protein. Be sure and get the low-sodium tuna. Instead of making a sandwich, pile it on top of fresh lettuce and chopped tomatoes.
